Pebble Mosaic - Podima Flooring - Gravel With Mesh: Matusan

The art of Pebble Mosaic or Podima Stone is created from natural pebbles hand picked from river beds or coastlines just like the artists did 5000 years ago. The colors and forms of the pebble stones used in this art are entirely natural with round globular or flat elliptical. The pebble stones are often called river stones, coastal stones or sea stones. The collection starts with choosing pebble stones and ends with the final layout during the application. The most common stones in the application have 30-50 mm format and it is possible to use 20-40, 40-60 and even 60-80 mm depending on the project pattern and application. We use roughly 1200-3500 pieces of pebbles per square meter in our applications.

Matüsan introduced a brand-new dimension to this art by breaking the pebble stones to create 25-30 mm height for the first time in a special mosaic press machine to paste them on a net at the beginning of the 2000s and enabled layout for large surfaces by connecting modules with standard size interlock edges. This manufacturing is called Vertical Pebble Mosaic on net, Podima Mosaic.

Matüsan introduced a brand-new dimension to this art by slicing 60-100 mm pebble stones in special machines to 8-10 mm and pasting them on a net at the beginning of and enabled layout for large surfaces by connecting modules with standard size interlock edges one more time. This manufacturing is called Sliced Pebble Mosaic, Podima Mosaic. The brand name is Flat.
